If you want to settle a conflict quickly and out of court, business mediation provides a great technique. This applies to conflicts that arise within companies, in teams in the workplace or at management level in structural changes. It also applies, however, for conflicts occurring between companies when they are negotiating an important contract where a breakdown of communication is not a tolerable option for either party, or, for example, in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
In this process it doesn’t matter who was right in the past. All that matters is a meaningful and sustainable solution for the future. The main aim is to resolve the conflict self- responsible, out of court and quickly.
My job as a mediator, is to lead you through such a structured communication towards your own solution competence. I put principals of business mediation also in contract negotiations. When conflicts escalate, I always offer – provided that it can be promising – the methods of mediation in order to create the possibility for a quick, cooperative solution.
